life now.

Wow, blogging is so hard when Aaron is gone. By the time the evening rolls around when I'd normally have time to write, I am WIPED out.

Some things that I don't want to forget (pictures maybe coming soon?):

*We spent two weeks in Florida for "vacation." Let me just say that vacation with two kids as busy/crazy as my kids was not fun. We LOVED playing outside in the sand but once we had to go inside, all hell broke lose. The coffee table was glass top, everything was breakable, etc. Anyway.

*My garden not only survived the vacation but is doing AWESOME. The zucchini are doing very well and taste yummy, the carrots are almost ready (we've eaten a few small ones that I had to trim to make room for the bigger ones), and the beans are incredibly tall. Just today we added tomato plants, green peppers, and cilantro. The peas died but before they did we ate quite a few. I'll replant them once it cools off considerably (it's just too hot for them.) I have surprised myself with how much I'm enjoying having a garden- much more than the flowers I planted all over the house and let die...

*Claire is at the best age right now. Prior to the last month, she was SO fussy ALL THE TIME. She has actually been HAPPY for a couple weeks and it is awesome. She cut 6 teeth while we were in FL and has one more coming in, so that could be to blame for the crankiness, but whatever it is I'm glad it is behind us.

*Claire is talking a lot now. She tries to mimic everything you say. Current words: hi, bye, mama, dada, grandpa/ma, ball, more, up. I'm sure there are more but I can't remember them.

*Gabe is going to the ENT for his hoarse throat on the 25th. Prayers that it's nothing permanent and an easy fix.

*Gabe TOOK OFF on his speech the last month. There's nothing that I can think of that he can't say. He got switched at speech from being enrolled for vocab to being enrolled for the sounds of the words. A lot of his words are still skewed but usually you can understand what he means. I'm loving it and behavior has improved since he's able to talk to us more.

More later!
