Claire at almost 2

Claire turns 2 at the end of this month. She is definitely a "terrible two" ha. This age was really rough for Gabe too. She ignores all mention of the word "no" unless she is screaming it at me, will repeatedly do something wrong even after being disciplined, and is super strong-willed and opinionated. However, she's also very sweet and funny.

She was a wonderful sleeper until she started climbing out of her crib at 17 months and got moved to a twin bed. Her routine went out the window and she would scream for HOURS at bed time. It was the biggest source of stress in my day. I am happy to say, we finally have a good bedtime routine that is actually enjoyable for both of us and works 95% of the time on the first try. She doesn't nap very often anymore and lately has been waking up during the night from ear infections and teething.

Claire LOVES to read books sitting in your lap, play mommy to her babies, and cook food in her pretend kitchen. She is good at pretend play but not good at playing alone. She can't stand to have me out of her sight or to drop her off anywhere. 

She says a lot of words and has started saying some sentences. Common ones include:

I want a drink! or I want a snack!

Where's Gabey/Grandpa/Daddy/etc.?

I love you.

She wants to potty train and would probably do great if I'd let her. I plan to wait until Aaron is home though. I don't want to add more to my plate- ha. She will also be seeing an ENT this month for a hearing test and probably tubes for her frequent ear infections.

Favorite TV Show: she doesn't watch much TV but can point out Caillou
Favorite Toy: baby dolls and her play kitchen
Favorite Food: blueberries
Favorite Snack: Granola Bars (she calls them "snacks"- nothing else is a snack)
Favorite Song: the ABC song- she will sing it over and over and over again... always in a different way
Favorite Game: She likes to play hide-n-seek and will run away saying "hide, hide" 
Favorite Book: The Going to Bed Book, Goodnight Moon, and the Llama Llama books
Favorite Animal: Dogs
Favorite Stuffed Animal: Teddy Bear
