30 day blog challenge: day 1

Wellll, since so much has happened and I've been awful at blogging lately (notice a theme anyone? ha) I figured I'll just in on this challenge that I saw on Theresa's blog :)


day one: introduce, recent picture, 15 interesting facts
(I hope interesting is subjective because... well... I'm not that interesting!)

That's me and Aaron, my husband. He's in the Army. We have two little ones, Gabe (2) and Claire (8 months.) They're 17 months apart.... I lost my mind a long time ago :) 

1. I love the Army and the financial stability it provides (hello free health care!) but I hate moving. I want to plant roots and get totally involved in a community... with my husband home and not gone all the time.
2. I'm obsessed with baby names. And baby pictures. And wedding pictures. (I look at photography blogs A LOT.)
3. All things Apple.
4. I had an induced birth w/Gabe, used all medicine available, and about died from pain in both labor & recovery... I had an all-natural birth with Claire and found it to be a million times better in all aspects imaginable!
5. Christmas Vacation and Tommy Boy are the funniest movies I've ever seen.
6. I love Target. I mean, I REALLLLLY love Target.
7. There's only one time in recent memory where I have been happy with my hair. All other days I hate it.
8. I (used to) text & drive. I'm trying to quit. My method? I give Gabe my phone in the car.
9. I talk to my parents at least once a day, on average 2-3 times?
10. Casting Crowns "Praise You In This Storm" gets me every time.
11. I have money set aside to travel. I really want to go to: Ireland, Italy, Spain, & a Caribbean cruise.
12. I have an English writing degree and LOVED school but struggle to blog/write at all these days.
13. I'm incredibly OCD about laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and picking up... yet I rarely dust or clean my bathrooms (uh, gross confession, sorry.)
14. I don't decorate for Halloween. Maybe I will when Gabe is old enough to appreciate it, but for now, it's too much work to put up decorations for a month, take them down, and then put up new Thanksgiving ones. I just do a general fall theme for both.
15. I want to be a NICU nurse.
