a whole lotta nothing

*We got the kids new beds the other day- bunk beds, to be exact. We don't plan on bunking them now but if we live on base in the future, the rooms are smaller, so it may be what happens. Anyway, along with the new beds came new mattressess. While we figured out where to put everything, we left one mattress in the living room. Craziness ensued. The kids LOVED it.

I just realized the kids are only in diapers in these pictures. It was pre-bath, I think... but don't put it past me. They love to be naked. Ha.

*I had an eye appointment today. Apparently I need contacts again. Not cool since I just had LASIK in 2007. 

Can you see in the picture how my right eye is swollen and completely red? Not a little bloodshot, but  red? Yeah, this picture was about 3 weeks after the surgery. 

Need a better look? Check this one. My parents will probably die from embarrassment but whatever. It's my eye you're supposed to be looking at... not all of our cheesy, home-from-college-for-the-holidays grins. 

Side note: I'll never be that skinny or have anywhere near that length of hair again. Sigh. 

*I had to get another tetanus booster and some additional shot at the doctor two weeks ago. Look at the bruises that followed! I honestly was afraid to show my shoulder in case someone thought Aaron beat me. Ha. I knew it hurt pretty bad the next day, but when the bruises started appearing, it still freaked me out. Be warned!

*I'm finally going to finish up my pre-reqs and apply to Vandy soon. Wish me luck ;)

*Our living room is getting painted tomorrow. I'm SO nervous over the paint color I picked. Now I'm worried it's too light. Better to err on the side of too light instead of too dark, right? Please tell me I'm right.

*I broke our stove. I was putting the crock pot in the cabinet above it when the lid crashed down. It shattered the top. It will cost $450 plus $150 in labor to replace. We're going to get a new stove. I will miss ours- she had lots of "extras" that I doubt our new one will. Sigh.

*Gabe's funniest saying lately- "Aw man!" after anything remotely shocking or bad happens.

*Claire was on an antibiotic for an ear infection/ruptured ear drum and it made her violently ill this week. She was beyond sick and had a terrible diaper rash. We were borderline iffy on taking her to the hospital for fluids multiple times, and called the ped after hours, but she seems to be on the up now. Yay.

*I finished the Pioneer Woman's book in two days and now I want to move to Oklahoma, have cows, have more babies, and eat a lot of steak. Who's with me?
