Yesterday, we got a good 4-6 inches of snow. It was so fun to listen to the news anchors have panic attacks all day over the "storm of the decade." Apparently this is drastic for TN.
Today we took Gabe out to play in it. I purchased some snow boots and pants for Gabe back in October, but then our realator told us that was a waste of money, so they were promptly returned :) We bundled our little guy in about 10 layers, covered his hands and feet in plastic baggies to prevent them from getting wet, and hoped for the best.
(yes, I know I am pale as a ghost, thankyouverymuch)
He wasn't super impressed but we think it is because the snow slowed him down so much. He couldn't walk without falling over and face planting. I know as his mom I'm not supposed to laugh in those moments, but I couldn't help it. He reminded me of the boy in a Christmas Story.
Aaron taught him how to make snow forts and snow angels and I mainly photographed them playing and tried to stay warm. Ha... I am so useful :)
We were so happy to get out of the house and do something different, especially since this is the first real snow we've had here and it will probably be one of the last. I've been having major cabin fever lately. I've felt so cooped up and restricted being inside all day and I'm sure Gabe is the same way, so it was nice to get out if even for a 1/2 hour.
