Today is my beautiful mama's birthday. I have been blessed with not only an incredible mom, but one who is also my best friend. Now that I have Gabe and am preparing to have a daugther, I realize how hard it can be to try and be a friend AND a parent... but she plays both roles with grace and ease. I hope that I can do the same for my children.
My mom is one of the most selfless people I know. She is always giving to others- not just material gifts, but her time, energy, and love as well. She is a Godly woman who has set a great example for me and I am so blessed by her life.
I love that Gabe and Claire have such an amazing grandma to look up to, as well. There are times when I don't know what to do for Gabe, don't know what is bothering him, and am losing my patience... but mom quietly steps in for me and sets the example of how to love him regardless. She's great.
Anyone who knows my mom knows that is extremely smart, beautiful, determined, and hilarious as well. There is no one I'd rather spend a day shopping with ;) She is honest and talented and she can make any ugly day turn into a great one.
