The kids and I successfully tackled the mall in a BIG way. Mama needed some new clothes (trust me, wearing clothes from high school when you've got two little kids is not smart... hello Hollister and Abercrombie), and boy did I get them! Let me just say thanks to mom & dad for the graduation money, haha. I've had a growing interest in fashion lately, except when I'm at home- then I'm definitely still into the sweats & t shirts, so I got some different things than I would normally buy. I also ordered some stuff online that I am waiting on. Side note: WHO LOVES MAIL AS MUCH AS I DO!? It is definitely a high point in my day... until I realize it's all junk and/or bills.
This week I've tried to put household chores to the side and spend more quality time with my boy. I often get wrapped up in errands and don't spend enough time engaged with Gabe. So, after he napped for a bit, we made brownies for dad! I discovered that this boy loves his chocolate! He had a blast "helping" me :)
As you can see, he was quite proud of himself. At one point he actually stuck his head in the bowl and licked it! It was so funny. I couldn't get myself to make him stop, he was just too cute and having too much fun. I figured the mess would get cleaned up at some point, but the memories we were making were priceless.
Just like with his lunch a few days ago, Gabe wound up in the tub after and loved every minute of it. Have I mentioned that he lays on his belly and tries to swim? He's a cute bug. Unfourtanately, I overcooked the brownies a tad while watching Gabe play with his ducks. Oh well, I guess that means we'll have to try again soon!
I loved our afternoon spent together and Gabe was in a great mood all afternoon and evening. Aaron made us dinner (thanks babe!) so that I could continue playing with the little man. It's too bad G hasn't been in a good mood AT ALL today! One day he makes me want to rip my hair out, the next he is sweet as can be. He is a mystery to me... but then again, what man isn't? :)

he is too cute. sometimes i find myself going crazy trying to "get stuff done" and I look down at her and she is like "hey, what about me?" its so hard to find a balance . . . and i only have 1!
so, you need to post pictures or do a post about what you got on your shopping spree! i am trying to leave the world of high school clothes behind, but i never know what looks to go for. i always tell chris i'm in a fashion crisis. do share!
