Here's the updates:
At one month old, Claire weighs just over 7 pounds and is starting to act more like a newborn than a preemie.
She is frequently caught wearing bows and flowers double the size of her head.
She is warming up to baths.
We're still nursing (by the grace of God, oh how I hate it!) I semi-tried to quit, but Claire refuses to take a bottle or paci. We've tried various kinds of nipples but it makes no difference. "Boob or bust!" she says.
She sleeps best on her tummy.
Her due date is tomorrow.
At 18 months, Gabe weighs 27 pounds and is 32.5 inches long.
He has to have his hearing tested/speech evaluated because he doesn't talk in real words.
The highlight of his life is taking him to the park. He especially loves the slides.
He also loves helping daddy landscape the backyard. Daddy, on the other hand, doesn't appreciate getting soaked by the hose, but Gabe finds it hilarious.
G is very good at following commands (take this to the trash, etc.) unless it involves discipline, time out, or the word "no." In those situations, it is likely that he suddenly goes deaf and cannot hear a word that you've said.
He has started waking up from naps butt naked. No shirt, no pants, no socks, no diaper. Not good.
Hopefully I'll be back with real posts sometime this week, when I'm not doing 12 loads of laundry a day, cleaning up all the clothes from Claire's dresser that Gabe has thrown on the floor, "moo"ing as I pretend I'm a cow, changing someone's diaper every 15 minutes, and fighting my son to keep said diaper on. Until then, have a great week!
