Blessing Rings and a Big Congrats!

Yesterday I was feeling crafty so I decided to tackle "blessing rings" for the kids.  They were really easy and fun and I think they make a great decoration :)

If you go to Hobby Lobby in the jewlery section, you can find either silver or gold necklace loops with a hook at the top. Then you pick out 3-4 different types of ribbons (the colors should go together, but the widths can vary.) To assemble, all you do is use a hole punch in the corner of your babe's special cards and notes and put them on the necklace ring. You tie the ribbon in between, however you want, and can hang it from their door.

I used cards from Gabe's baby shower, birth, and 1st birthday for his ring and cards from Claire's birth for hers. I love that I can continuously add their special momentos to the ring, so that they know how much they are loved and prayed over.

And in other news... a BIG congratulations to my beautiful sister-in-law Allison as she will be appearing again on this season of "So You Think You Can Dance" as part of the all-star cast! She made it to the top 8 in season 2, although we think she should have won :) Nygel Lythgoe has said she will be representing jazz, contemporary, broadway, and cultural dances. We could not be more proud of her! We love you Alli!
