The Thursday before Tricia's wedding she had a bachelorette party with friends and family at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville. It was so fun, even if I was the only person there who couldn't dance. Seriously... the Simpson and Zuniga families have incredible dance skills. I was a bit jealous ;)
Here is Tricia with some of her sisters
the super talented Anna (Zuniga) Liesemeyer and I, whose blog and ETSY store I wrote about here
Some of the girls competed in a hula hoop contest, others line danced, and some just talked. It was my first night out without Claire... and my first night out without Gabe in a long time! It was so refresing to just have some good quality girl time. I knew some of the girls and made new friends with others.
Saturday morning was the bridal luncheon, in honor of Tricia and her bridesmaids.
incredible women!
At the luncheon I had the honor of meeting miss Natalie and her sweet daughter Sophia. Natalie is the author of the Busy Budgeting Mama, which is one of my all-time favorite blogs. She has great recipes, decorating tips, and general "mom" advice. She is a beautiful mama who is expecting daughter number two and a talented photographer (lots of these photographs are hers!) You should check her blog out and say congratulations to her while you're there :)
Sophia, Natalie, and Tricia
We didn't take Gabe to the wedding (thanks for watching him, mom and dad!) because we knew he would be wild and it was way past his bedtime. Claire tagged along and did great before and after the ceremony. She started crying right before the wedding party entered, so I resigned myself to the back of the church and stuck my finger in her mouth hoping it would pacify her. That worked up until Tricia and Phil were preparing to say their vows! :( I had to go feed her and missed the rest of the ceremony. I was sooo bummed out, but thankful for what I did get to see and experience!
We wound up leaving the reception after only an hour or so (right as it was really getting going) because we were out of diapers. GO FIGURE. I have no doubt that with all the coordinated dances and skits the families prepared and their incredible dance talent that it was quite the party ;) You can check out more pictures on Natalie and Anna's blogs if you scroll back a few posts.... enjoy!
