The first thing Gabe says when he wakes up in the morning is "choo choo, choo choo."
The first thing Gabe DOES in the morning is bolt for the stairs and head up to his brand-spanking-new train table, similar to the ones in the pictures. He got it as an early birthday present, and he's obsessed.
Yesterday we took the little guy to Day Out With Thomas before our flight to the beach. He LOVED it, to say the least. As soon as we pulled up he was shrieking and trying to run to the train station.
Once we got there, Gabe had the option to play with train tables, do inflatable slides and play in a bounce house, play putt-putt, get a "tattoo", meet Sir Topham Hat, ride Thomas the train (a real train with an actual Thomas engine), ride a mini train, and tour a gift shop.
He was in train heaven :)
Our only regret is that we didn't get there earlier- our train ride was at 10, so we arrived around 9. By the time we finished our ride, the place was PACKED, Claire was hungry, and it was getting hot.
Next year, we will go first thing in the morning. And yes, there will be a next year.

How precious!! My nephew Nicholas is obsessed with Thomas and we all get a kick out of how he carries him around everywhere he goes. My Gabriel is starting to grow into the same fascination. :) What a cool place!
