more tidbits

*For my birthday, my parents got me a set of cook books called "Once-a-Month Cooking." Have you heard of them? I read through them today and am SO excited to make our first batch when we get back from FL. Basically you do one big grocery trip (the book already has the list put together for you!) and designate one day as a cooking day. Then you make meals for either 2 weeks or 1 month, depending on what you choose. You freeze the meal until the day before you want it when you put it in the fridge to defrost. Since Aaron and I are really the only ones who would be eating it, I think the 2 week plan with most likely last us at least 3. I looked at all the recipes too and they all look real good! They have a section later in the book that teaches you how to incorporate some of your favorite meals, etc. so that you can use the same principle but with different recipes. YAY! I'll update once I do it.

*Gabe and Claire just had their "well baby" visits... ha... anything but! Claire has gained weight and is REALLY long for her age, but is still having reflux issues and is going to see a neurologist for some twitching/spasms stuff she has going on. She also has a heart murmur but as of right now, it's ok. Gabe LOST weight (3 pounds!!), has bad reflux issues still, had ANOTHER ear infection/missing tube, and has a heart murmur that has worsened somewhat!! :( He is going to see the cardiologist tomorrow and then the rest of the appointments should be in next few weeks. Hopefully it's not a big deal!

Update: His heart looked great! He does have a murmur but should hopefully outgrow it, and if not, it doesn't seem to be a problem. Doc said he has a "strong heart from being so busy." I just giggled- major understatement ;) Off to the ear doctor in the morning... and SO glad he is already on antibiotics for his ear seeing as he DRANK TOILET WATER this afternoon. Never a dull moment!

*We leave for Florida on SATURDAY, but before we go, we're taking Gabe to meet Thomas the Train! He is going to LOVE it. He's obsessed with "choo-choos" and Thomas. I can't wait! =)

For real this time... I hope to be back soon with pictures!

I would also love to know how you like the cookbooks, that sounds like something we would be into at our house!

Prayers for your little ones, too!
